1. Avoid microwaving food in plastic. BPA and phthalates found in plastic leak into food when heated. Both are known as "endocrine disruptors," which mimic human hormones, but not for the good.

2. Eat organic whenever possible, especially with meats, dairy, and thin-skinned fruit like berries. Strawberries are known to be the #1 fruit with the most chemicals.

3. Use chemical-free cleaning products around the house - detergents. When you use hot water, the steam lets the chemical permeate throughout the house!
